At the General Membership Meeting on June 13, 2025, two proposals of the board were adopted: Nitin Shrivastava joined the board in the position of secretary, and an increase in membership fees will be implemented starting with the 2025//2026 season. The June 1 cancellation date was postponed to July 13, 2025, for this purpose.
It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the death of our founder and honorary member, Rob van Zijderveld. Rob was born on 1 July 1937 and passed away from us on 26 July 2024, after a short illness.
Friday, March 29, no badminton due to World Wheelchair Championships. Also note the days when Van Zijderveld is closed due to holidays.
To close the 2021/2022 badminton season, Van Zijderveld is hosting a picnic with BBQ on Sunday, July 3. Everyone is welcome to join us for a fun afternoon. We gather at 13.00 hours on the large playing field in the Amsterdamse Bos.
The measure that amateur sports (matches and training) will not be allowed between 5pm and 5am for the next three weeks until December 19 has a major impact on activities at our badminton club. All activities have been stopped except for senior recreational badminton in the morning . A statement about the competition will follow later this week.
