Newsletter on compensation of membership fees badminton season 20/21

The coronavirus will continue to affect our lives and work for the foreseeable future. Just like you, we miss our badminton sport and the weekly sociability in the sports hall.
Meanwhile, the board has been asked a number of questions regarding  the badminton season '20/'21 membership fees. Through this email we inform you how the board wants to deal with this. Of course we understand that corona also has a financial impact on your life.

MISSED TRAINING WEEKS

Due to government measures, our training sessions and moments of free game play are already mandatorily shut down from December 16, 2020 through March 15, 2021. This amounts to 9 missed badminton weeks.

The current package of measures from the central government expires on March 2. The lion's share of the current rules have now been extended to March 15.

DECISION COMPENSATION AS OF END OF JUNE

Because of the uncertainty about the reopening of sports hall "De Meerkamp" and the administrative burden involved in an interim contribution settlement, the Board will take a decision on compensation for the missed badminton weeks at the end of the badminton season (end of June).
Also will be taken into account the fact that Badminton Nederland decided on January 18 to terminate the current competitions for this season effective immediately.

DO NOT REFUND INSTALMENTS OF MEMBERSHIP FEES

The board makes an urgent appeal to the members who pay in instalments via Clubcollect, to let the last payment go through. Please do not reverse the direct debit! At the time the full contribution is paid we can make a clear calculation.

BADMINTON IN THE SUMMER VACATIONS

The board has the intention -as in the 2020 season- to partially compensate for the missed training weeks by offering badminton in sports hall De Meerkamp during the summer vacations 2021.

Due to the rise of the British corona variant and its impact on the roadmap "to normal" of the central government we can not predict if this will be possible.

We would like to hope for your understanding and patience.
